You can leave a legacy by creating a fund with the Community Foundation.
There are 5 different types of funds to allow the donor to create a fund which meets their philanthropic passions.
Unrestricted Funds provide the Hendricks County Community Foundation with the flexibility to respond to the broad and changing needs in Hendricks County, to support innovative responses to community needs and to enhance the quality of community life. By creating unrestricted funds, donors create a living legacy that will grow and change with the community.
Designated Funds provide grants to specific charitable organizations or projects named by the fund donors.
Donor Advised Funds allow a donor to make recommendations for grant recipients.
A Field of Interest Fund allows the donor to specify a particular interest (e.g. youth, fine arts, etc.) without limiting grants to any one organization serving that interest. Donors name the purpose of the fund and the Community Foundation identifies the projects that can most effectively accomplish that goal at any given time.
Scholarship Funds have the sole purpose of granting scholarships each year. |
