Building a Permanent Endowment
Every gift is deposited into the XFUND endowment fund held at the Hendricks County Community Foundation. The Hendricks County Community Foundation is matching $.50 on the dollar up to $10,000 for a 2 year period (until May 2009). This matching money will be used to grow the grantmaking pool of money. As of May 2008, we are just short of raising the current match goal of $10,000.

The XFUND continues to seek opportunities to address needs throughout Hendricks County. Currently the XFUND grants through the Hendricks County Community Foundation's Opportunity Fund Grant Cycle.

2007 Grant Recipients
The XFUND awarded their first grant of $500 to YEP, Youth Encouraging Philanthropy, which is an initiative of Youth Leadership Hendricks County. When asked about the grant, Dianne Murer, coordinator for YEP stated "Philanthropy can strengthen families. How great it is that the new XFUND at the Hendricks County Community Foundation is investing in the youth to help future families."
